DEVIL CHILDREN Project Featuring WHITESNAKE, KING'S X Members To Surface This Summer

February 23, 2005

DEVIL CHILDREN, the new project featuring KING'S X bassist/vocalist Doug Pinnick, WHITESNAKE/WINGER guitarist Reb Beach, WHITESNAKE keyboardist Timothy Drury (EAGLES, DON HENLEY),and QUIET RIOT drummer Frankie Banali, "have laid down about 13 tracks in about the 30-minute range total," according to the KING'S X fan site KingsX.net. "Very much in the rough demo form now with most of the tracks at one minute, or with Reb singing the tune, and then the next track is Doug singing it. The 'DEVIL CHILDREN' moniker comes from one song (the most complete). The music ranges from DREAM THEATER-like synth fused material to BADLANDS-sounding '80s-influenced riffs. Doug's voice is up front and sounds awesome. Reb already has a couple of solos recorded here as well."

Added Beach, "The record with Doug Pinnick, Timothy Drury and Frankie Banali is coming along nicely and I think fans of Eighties music will really enjoy it. I am trying to keep it heavy, but not as dark as 'Masquerade' [Beach's solo album]. As always, I am trying for the big pay off choruses, but what makes it cool, and not syrupy, are Doug's MANLY vocals and cool lyrics. It should be out by maybe June or July [through Frontiers Records]."
